Kevin Lewis

Kevin Lewis has worked in all areas of security and access control systems. He started his career in education as an IT customer service representative where he was responsible for the break fix process at two high schools. He also held “Tech Tuesday” training where he was able to coordinate with principals and faculty to train them on all district resources. Kevin then moved on to work as an Education Technology Specialist and headed the district’s student data privacy, Internet safety and security initiative. In the two years of heading this initiative, Kevin was able to raise awareness about student data privacy and influence education technology products to improve upon their privacy practices. Kevin is CIPM certified.

 

Jim Siegl

Jim Siegl, CIPT, is a Senior Technologist with the Youth & Education Privacy team. For nearly two decades prior to joining FPF, Jim was a Technology Architect for the Fairfax County Public School District with a focus on privacy, security, identity management, interoperability, and learning management systems. He was a co-author of the CoSN Privacy Toolkit and the Trusted Learning Environment (TLE) seal program and holds a Master of Science in the Management of Information Technology from the University of Virginia.

 

Jim Farmer

Jim is an experienced leader in technology and curriculum integration and is the CTO, leading technology strategy at Fayette County Public Schools. Jim has significant experience as an instructional technology coach and specialist working with teachers in Georgia at Okefenokee RESA. As a former teacher, Jim was named teacher of the year in 2005 by the Ware County Board of Education. Jim is a Certified Educational Technology Leader (CETL®) and an active member of COSN.
